Taster session in August, with a full 6-week course starting in September.
Why you need this specialist course
Have you noticed any changes in your pelvic floor?
Not working like it used to?
Coughing, sneezing, and not able to stop a little leakage?
This can happen for any number of reasons:
- Childbirth - but young people and men have problems too...
- Your occupation,
- Pelvic/sacral injury,
- Problems with breathing,
- Age (sorry - that happens to us all...!)
Research suggests that back pain and general feelings of dis-ease can be linked to a poor pelvic floor.
We all have a pelvic floor - EVERYONE, and problems can happen to anyone at any time. It is not dependent on being a woman, or whether you have had children or not.
A great majority of people can be helped to regain a strong and functioning pelvic floor with our courses.
We offer specific pelvic floor health pilates as a 6-week course to help you manage better.
Factors to consider why our pelvic floor weakens:
- Weak Abdominals
- Sedentary job (sitting at a desk for long periods)
- Poor Exercise Technique
- Strenuous Exercise
- Lifting Weights
- Poor Posture
- Back Pain
Diamond Pilates is a 6-week course whose focus is purely on pelvic floor dysfunction and strengthening exercises for both men and women.
It is a progressive Pilates programme to give you all the tools to help strengthen those very important 3 layers of muscle, weekly homework and handouts will be given.
We offer Diamond Pilates as a 6-week course as 1-2-1 in our Goosnargh studio, and as a weekly group class on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
